Kansas City-based industrial real estate development company, Jones Development, is proud to announce two internal promotions and an evolution for founder, Kevin Jones.

Nick Jones will be the firm’s new President effective immediately, and Cameron Cooper will be promoted to EVP – Development. The firm’s founder, Kevin Jones, will now serve as Chairman of the Board. Kevin Jones' real estate career began in 1977 and after successfully advising clients for nearly a decade, he founded Jones Development and won FedEx as one of the firm's first clients, whose relationship continues today.

“I feel fortunate that the market has taken off like it has over the years and that a second generation can guide us into the future,” said Kevin Jones. “As a result, competition has grown stronger and we’ve had to stay true to our core value of being an honest, hardworking organization that is a strategic partner, not just a firm that builds a functional box. I am confident that Nick’s leadership and expertise will help propel Jones Development’s continued growth and success.”

Nick Jones, President

Jones Development has completed nearly 20,000,000 square feet of industrial space nationwide with an aggregate value of approximately $2 billion. They’re recognized as a national leader in industrial development, serving blue-chip clients that include Amazon, Walmart, DHL, FedEx, Frito Lay as well as Hungry Root and O’Reilly Automotive. Led by Kevin since its inception, Jones Development is known for forming strategic partnerships with clients, which is evidenced by relationships that span decades.

Nick Jones joined the family business nearly twenty years ago and has since been involved in the development, planning or sale of more than one hundred projects, totaling nearly 20,000,000 square feet, with an aggregate value exceeding $2 billion.

“I’m honored to follow in Kevin’s footsteps and lead such a talented team,” said Nick Jones. “Looking forward, I’m eager to continue building on our successful brand and leveraging our depth of experience to move quickly and thoroughly. Our collective knowledge and insights are what gives clients confidence in working with us.”

Cameron Cooper, EVP - Development

In addition to the promotion of Nick and evolution for Kevin, Cameron Cooper has been promoted to EVP - Development. Since joining Jones Development in 2015, Cameron has proven himself as a proactive leader with comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction. In the past eight years, Cameron has completed a wide range of projects, with a combined total value exceeding $500 million.

“I’m thrilled to continue helping expand the Jones Development brand nationally,” said Cooper. “Over the years, I’ve been given great opportunities with this team and I’m more motivated than ever to continue driving our momentum forward.”

Industrial Growth Trajectory

The industrial real estate market in the U.S. continues to show strength, and Jones Development believes e-commerce trends and the anticipated re-shoring of manufacturing in the U.S. through various legislative actions will only feed into the firm’s expertise.

“We look to continue our strategy of acquiring well-located land sites and developing high-quality industrial facilities throughout the United States,” said Nick Jones.
